About our workshops

We run workshops every six weeks at The Yard in Ely, and also work in collaboration with Hot Numbers on Trumpington Steet, Cambridge, and Anglia Ruskin University. Keep an eye on our social media for exciting new workshop locations!

If you would like Artemis Writers to run a workshop at your place of business or event, get in touch with us at artemiswritersuk@gmail.com.

Workshops are for everyone, whether you're a seasoned author or just starting out. They last one and a half to two hours, and typically involve three or four exercises with a fifteen-minute break. Sharing with others is not compulsory, though you may find that getting feedback from people on your table sparks new ideas or helps you solve a tricky problem. Our workshops are suitable for ages 12 and over, though we focus on writing aimed at adults.

What you need to bring:

  • A notebook or laptop

  • A pen or pencil

What you can expect from an Artemis Writers workshop:

  • Practical guidance to support your writing

  • An inclusive atmosphere

  • Engaging exercises

  • Expert teaching

  • Carefully researched handouts

  • Optional feedback after the workshop

"The atmosphere is friendly, inviting and inclusive"
