Wyrd Cambridge
14TH JULY, 6:30-8:30
THE ARTYST, CHESTERTON ROAD, CAMBRIDGE
Taking inspiration from Cambridge's colourful local characters, night climbers, chalk giants and, of course, the whimsical lyrics of Syd Barrett, this creative writing workshop encourages you to view the city through new eyes. Through guided exercises, we'll explore the styles and conventions of Weird fiction and channel the experimental vibe of psychedelia into poetry and song lyrics.

About our workshops
We run workshops every six weeks in Ely, and have also run workshops at Hot Numbers and Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.
If you would like Artemis Writers to run a workshop at your place of business or event, get in touch with us at artemiswritersuk@gmail.com.
Workshops are for everyone, whether you're a seasoned author or just starting out. They last one and a half to two hours, and typically involve three or four exercises with a fifteen-minute break. Sharing with others is not compulsory, though you may find that getting feedback from people on your table sparks new ideas or helps you solve a tricky problem. Our workshops are suitable for ages 12 and over, though we focus on writing aimed at adults.
