Meet The Team

Heather Clark-Hope
Co-founder
Heather Clark-Hope is a writer based in Ely, Cambridgeshire, but is originally from the Kentish seaside. Her work often delves into female viewpoints and untold stories, which she explores in both fiction and nonfiction. Heather has had her nonfiction articles published in Lead Jammer magazine. She completed an MA in Creative Writing through a part-time, distance learning program at Lancaster University in 2025, attaining a Distinction. Currently, Heather is working on a historical novel set in Renaissance Italy.
A qualified English teacher with 20 years of experience, Heather has taught English Language and Literature in state, grammar, and independent schools. One of the high points of her career was teaching A-Level Creative Writing, which alas no longer exists. She is currently Head of an English department and holds the status of a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE).
In her spare time, Heather enjoys roller skating, practicing yoga, spending time by the seaside and doting on her beloved cats.

Sophia Adamowicz
Co-founder
Sophia Adamowicz, Yorkshire born and bred, now lives in Suffolk. Her writing, both fiction and nonfiction, has appeared in several publications including Cunning Folk, Crow & Cross Keys and Haven Speculative. She is an alumna of the Faber Academy, having completed two long courses in novel writing. Sophia is currently in the final stages of editing a folk horror novel, The Brink. The novel came highly commended in the I Am Writing Horror competition 2025 and is due to be published by an independent press in 2027.
Following her PhD in medieval literature, Sophia qualified as an English teacher in 2017. Since then, she’s worked in a secondary school, taught for two educational charities and delivered lectures and seminars at Royal Holloway and the University of East Anglia. She now tutors young and adult learners.
When she's not teaching or writing, Sophia sets herself increasingly ambitious running goals, plays the guitar and also fusses over her beloved cats.
